How to Hit 100k Followers in 1 Year
I recorded a breakdown of my LinkedIn journey - all the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned and how you can hit 100k followers in about a year. This is the most in-depth video I’ve ever done.
There is a new format going viral on LinkedIn right now:
The Whiteboard Infographic.
These were both posts I’d done before, I just turned them from traditional infographics into AI-generated whiteboards.
But before showing you how to make one for yourself, I want to explain why they’re working.
The simple answer is they are novel.
They stand out on the feed because not many people are making them yet.
That means people are more likely to stop their scroll and read them. Spotting and taking advantage of visual styles like this is part of the job.
You are always looking for an edge or an opportunity to do something a bit different. I’ve got to give credit to Charlie Hills - I saw him pioneer them first.
Here are a few other top-performing examples:
Stop Asking AI To Summarize - 1,953 reactions
Agentic AI: A Complete Framework - 1,775 reactions
Data Governance Vs AI Governance - 1,700 reactions
They’re actually easier to make than most infographics - you don't need great design skills or a design team.
Now, I’ll show you exactly how to make one in under 10 minutes.
Personally, I make all mine in Saywhat so I’ll show you how I do it and also include more general instructions for Nano Banana Pro too.
How To Create Them In Saywhat
Step 1: Add A Visual Example
Go to Saywhat or Nano Banana Pro and add an example of an inspirational design. It could be an existing whiteboard visual you saw or another design. In Saywhat, pick your favourites from the inspiration section and save them as templates.

You can then use these in all future AI-generated infographics.
Step 2: Tell Saywhat What You Want
Select inspirational design templates, then paste a prompt like this:
"Create an infographic about [your topic] using this template I uploaded. Focus on [specific angle or key points you want to highlight]. Make it clean and easy to read."
The more detailed your prompt outline the better.

Step 3: Make Targeted Edits
In Nano Banana, keep reprompting until you get exactly what you want.
In Saywhat, If you want to change any specific part of your infographic, just select that area and add in your comment and click “Apply Changes”.

Step 4: Download and Post
Once you're happy with the result, download your infographic as a png file and you're ready to post.

Try It This Week
Pick one post idea from your list or repurpose one of your top-performing posts into a whiteboard.
The key is to include 1-2 good templates and then adapt them to the topic you want to talk about. If you don’t use templates, AI naturally spits out rubbish.
The more you create, the better you'll get at designing exactly what you want.
See you next week,
Will
P.S.
I made this infographic in Saywhat, you can try it for free on the Executive Plan here.
